What happens during a homeopathic consultation?

During the first consultation, I’ll ask you about your symptoms and how you experience them; how long you’ve had them and how they affect you.  I’ll ask you about your past medical history; also about yourself as a person – your likes and dislikes.  It’s important for me to understand “you” as an individual because homeopathy is all about the individual.  With over 2,000 remedies available, it’s my responsibility to pinpoint exactly which one will best help you for maximum healing and vitality, so I will ask you about yourself and your symptoms to help me to understand you and choose the correct remedy for you.   Homeopathy, as well as restoring and revitalising health, creates a renewed energy, making the individual feel well again, and more like his or her old self before illness took hold.   But, like anything worth having, it doesn’t generally happen over night.  It is thought that it will take at least one month for each year the individual has had a long-standing illness for health to be restored. So, if you’ve had an illness for a long time, it’s doubtful you’ll receive a cure over night.  What you can expect however, is to begin to feel more energy and generally better within yourself, which in itself will make your symptoms feel much easier to cope with. It’s important to recognise that everyone is individual and as such will react differently in the symptoms they experience, in dis-ease and in their cure. 

The first consultation lasts for up to 90 minutes and subsequent ones last for 40 minutes.
